Welcome! I’m Mieke Titulaer.

My path through science hasn’t followed a straight line, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I started in psychology, moved into animal sciences for my B.S. and M.S., and eventually earned a Ph.D. in Natural Resource Management. Along the way, I’ve worked as a lecturer, researcher, and professor in the Netherlands, Mexico, and the U.S. These diverse experiences have shaped not just my academic skills, but my deep interest in helping others find clarity, focus, and fulfillment in their own careers.
This broad and sometimes chaotic academic journey, combined with my life as a mother of three and partner to a fellow scientist, has shaped how I see success. It’s not about doing it all. It’s about doing what matters, with clarity and purpose.
Why I Created This Space
After a major move and a break from my academic career, my family and I took time to reevaluate our goals and priorities. While my partner stepped into a new role, I stayed home to support our young children through the transition. It was a season of care, adjustment, and reflection—a gift in many ways—but I also felt the need for something more.
I was looking for a way to reconnect with my professional identity, share what I’ve learned, and create something that aligned with both my expertise and our evolving family life. That’s how this space was born.
What You’ll Find Here
This is more than professional development. It’s a place to sharpen your skills, reconnect with your goals, and bring clarity to the chaos of academic life. Whether you’re drafting a research paper, organizing your time, preparing a class, or simply trying to stay afloat, I’m here to help you move forward with confidence and focus.
At the moment, I offer a blog with insights and inspiration, free resources like templates and toolkits, one-on-one coaching, and English–Spanish translation and editing services for academic texts. These tools and services are designed to support academics who want to:
- Write with more clarity and less stress
- Manage their time and energy mindfully
- Balance career and personal life without guilt
- Build a career that reflects their values and strengths
While I’m especially passionate about supporting women in science, this space is open to anyone ready to focus their efforts, find clarity, and thrive, on their own terms.
If this resonates with you, I’d love to connect. Let’s bring more clarity, focus, and meaning to your academic journey—so you can build a life and career that truly fit.
